VOLUNTEERING

God has blessed each one of us with different gifts and abilities.

In I Peter 4:10 we are instructed to, “...serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.”

Do you know your spiritual gifts? Everyone had a spiritual gift given to them by God. It is extremely important to our personal growth, as well as the overall life of a church, to recognize these gifts and to encourage their use. God has given us our gifts and He is the one who helps us identify, develop, and use them. We need to learn what our gifts are, embrace them, and then proceed to grow in them.

We are commanded by God to use our gifts (1 Peter 4:10). There are many special rewards reserved for you that use your spiritual gifts.

Listed below are just a few of the many volunteer positions we have at Bexley Church:

Music Ministry Participate in and lead music for weekly worship services and special events.
Decorating Assisting with the decorating, prior to a holiday, of the sanctuary in the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, Christmas Lighting for the Church Grounds, and the Welcome and Hospitality Areas. Making of centerpieces, placing flowers in appropriate spaces, and decorating tables prior to a luncheon or dinner.
Nursery Provide loving, tender care to infants through age 3.
Children's Ministry Spreading discipleship of God's Word through interaction with God's youngest members of His flock.
Youth Ministry Deepening the faith roots of teens through teaching classes, counseling small groups, serving the Wednesday Youth Lunch, leading the youth work camp, host or drive for special events.
