Prospective Families
Hello
and thank you for your interest in Bexley United Methodist Preschool.
Our
philosophy is that we educate the whole child. This means that children
are given the education they need for their cognitive as well as
social/ emotional development. Children at BUMP are well prepared
for kindergarten. We follow the Preschool standards set forth by
the Ohio Department of Education.
We
have an Emergent Curriculum which allows children to explore what
they are interested in and develop that interest in all areas of
development. Research has shown that children learn through play,
it is their work, and we believe this to be true as well. It may
look like fun, messy work but it is learning in progress.

BUMP
is open from the end of August to the End of May. We offer hours
that are quite flexible. You can choose to have your child attend
2 to 5 days per week as well as full day or part day. The hours
for preschool are 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. We also offer Optional Programs
such as Early Bird (8:00 am to 9:00 am) and Stay & Play (12:30
pm to 4:00 pm).

So
how do you register? New families can call and set up a time to
come in and tour the school during the month of December. Tours
are approximately half an hour in length. You may bring your child
in with you for the tour. Tours are in the mornings between 9:30
and 11:30. Call the school (614) 231-2783 to schedule a tour.
Current
families are registering now. Begining the week of January 11th
members of the Bexley United Methodist Church as well as alumni
of BUMP (this includes parents and former siblings) can begin registering.
